‘Less Is More’ is the second album of Amsterdam based DJ/producer Space Exposure (Roel Janssen). It is the follow-up to his debut album ‘The Subliminal Serval’ from 2018, followed by the EP ‘Off The Beaten Track’ on Basserk Records in November 2019

The new album is yet another varied musical journey through space. The sound is a tight step forward compared to the more lo-fi electronic debut album that went in many directions.

‘Less Is More’ flirts with electronics, IDM, future trap, synthwave, techhouse, drum and bass and soundcapes. Dreamy up-tempo tracks alternate effortlessly with darker, intoxicating productions.

The album features guest contributions from guitarist Gijs Gerrits of Macondo Dust Band (‘Another Time’), DJ/producer DokuSo (‘KOAT’) and saxophonist Julian Main (‘Technology Resistance’), the younger brother of singer/songwriter Gerson Main.

The album title refers to the phrase ‘less is more’. The simpler, the better. The fewer tracks, the more impact. The fewer incentives, the more productive. Go back to basics. But there is also a link to the strange reflecting times of a lock down because of a persistent global pandemic.
